Javante Walker scored 14 points for Lamar State College Port Arthur but it wasn't enough to help the Seahawks get past Clarendon College as LSCPA fell 75-64 in the second day of the Texas East-West Invitation at Lewisville High School on Sunday.
The loss drops the Seahawks to 1-2 for the season.
Walker, a sophomore transfer from LSU-Alexandria, was joined by Christavious Thomas in leading the Seahawks' scoring against Clarendon, as the freshman forward from North Caddo High School in Vivian, Louisiana, scored 12 points. Devaughn Thomas, a freshman guard from Lafayette, Louisiana, added 8.
LSCPA hits the road Tuesday night as they travel to Eunice, Louisiana where they face LSU-E in non-conference action before returning home Saturday, November 10, against the Houston Gladiators. That game tips off at 3 p.m. in the Carl Parker Center on the campus of Lamar State College Port Arthur.
