Seahawks fall short on road trip to Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – Terrance Minor, a freshman guard, scored 16 points to pace Lamar State College Port Arthur but it wasn't enough as Baton Rouge Community College escaped with a 58-56 non-conference men's basketball win Tuesday .

The Seahawks evened their record at 3-3 for the season while BRCC found its first victory of the year with the decision.

Chris Thomas, a freshman forward, scored nine points, while Beaumont sophomore Devin Ellis added six in the loss.

The Seahawks come home for a three-game homestand that starts Thursday night when they take on Jarvis Christian College at the Carl Parker Center at 6 p.m.

LSCPA hosts Lone Star College-Kingwood at 3 p.m. Saturday and finishes its non-conference schedule with a 7 p.m. game against North American University on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m.
