PENSACOLA, Florida - With ice water pumping through his veins, sophomore Devaugn Thomas calmly hit two free throws with less than a second left on the clock to lead Lamar State College Port Arthur past Pensacola State College 72-71 on Tuesday night in the second day of the Pensacola State College Thanksgiving Classic.

Thomas, the leading scorer for the Seahawks so far this season, finished with 14 points, hitting 7 of 9 from the free throw line. He added 10 rebounds for his third double-double performance of the season. He has scored in double-figures in all nine games so far this year.
