Seahawks win third straight with 101-92 decision over Victoria

Jaylen Subject scored 21 points with 10 rebounds in a double-double performance in Lamar State College Port Arthur's 101-92 win over Victoria College on Wednesday night at the Carl Parker Center.

Subject, a sophomore forward from Beaumont, picked up his fourth double-double of the seaason and his second in NJCAA Region 14 play. Davon Wright led the Seahawks' scoring with 26, Bentravin Phillips added 22 point with seven assists and three steals, and Pete Ragusa went a perfect 6 of 6 from the free throw line to chip in 14 points with four assists.

The win is the third straight conference victory for the Hawks, who are now 11-7 overall and 4-5 in league play. Victoria, who was led by Deandre Brown-Perry with 32 points, and Kalen White with 29 points and nine rebounds.

The Seahawks hit the road this Saturday for another conference game, taking on Lee College in Baytown. Tipoff for that game is 4 p.m.
