For years, Deuce Guidry has been better known by his nickname than his given name. After Wednesday night at the Carl Parker Center, he might consider going by "Trey" instead.

Guidry, a sophomore from Dickinson, Texas, knocked down four 3-pointers in scoring 30 points to lead Lamar State College Port Arthur past Good Vision Academy 113-40 in non-conference men's basketball action. This is the third straight game where the Seahawks have surpassed the century mark.

Scoring 11 points in the first half, Guidry put on a 3-point clinic in the final 20 minutes of the game, hitting three of his four from beyond the arc. Altogether, the Seahawks had 10 3-pointers, including three from Adam Scherbakov. Rashawn Ford did his damage from closer in, knocking down 17 points for the Hawks, while Jordan Henderson scored 14, going 6 for 6 from the free throw line. Simeon Richardson-Collins added 11 points and Cory Ruben chipped in 10.

The Seahawks, now 3-0 to start the year, head to Plano for the Collin County Community College East-West Challenge. LSCPA faces Collin County at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 11, and then challenge South Plains College at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 12. Both games will be broadcast live at:
