Bentravin Phillips put together his best game of the season, but it wasn't enough to help the Lamar State College Port Arthur Seahawks get past No. 3-ranked Odessa College in a 94-66 non-conference loss Friday, November 10.
The loss, at the Collin County Classic in Plano, dropped the Seahawks to 3-1 while Odessa College improved its mark to 6-0 for the season.
Phillips, a sophomore guard from Lafayette, Louisiana, hit 7 of 13 from the field while knocking down 14 of 17 from the free throw line. Caleb Muller, a sophomore guard from Boca Raton, Florida, added 12 points for the Hawks.
Odessa College had four players in double-figures, led by Brandon Maclin's 19 points.
