Seahawks roll in 119-52 win over LSC-Tomball

Lamar State College Port Arthur came screaming out of the gates and didn't slow down, scoring 67 first-half points in a 119-52 non-conference win over Lone Star College-Tomball on Saturday afternoon at the Carl Parker Center in Port Arthur.

The Seahawks put seven players in double-figures, including game-high scorer Jaylen Subject, a sophomore forward from Hamshire-Fannett High School who picked up a double-double performance with 23 points and 15 rebounds.

Bentravin Phillips scored 18 points for the Seahawks with six steals, while Pete Ragusa hit for 17 points, going 3 for 3 from the 3-point line. Caleb Muller had 15 points and five assists, Jackson Thoele had 14 points and 14 rebounds, and Jabi Alberto and James Kangethe each pitched in 10 points for the Seahawks.

The Hawks, who are now 5-2 overall and still undefeated at home, will face Strength & Motion International at 6 p.m. on Monday ahead of the long Thanksgiving break. The team returns next to the hardwood on Wednesday, November 29, when they start NJCAA Region 14 play against North Zone opponent Kilgore in the Parker Center. That game tips off at 7 p.m.
