Lamar State College Port Arthur set two new school records in a 155-66 non-conference win over Lone Star College-Tomball on Wednesday afternoon in the Carl Parker Center.

The Seahawks, now 8-4 overall, broke a five-year old record for most points in a game with its 155-point total, eclipsing a 2023 game where LSCPA scored 146 points. Likewise, the 89-point margin of victory Wednesday is the largest in school history, passing the previous No. 1 mark of 84 points set in 2013.

"Sometimes it's difficult to come out of the Winter Break with urgency and energy but our guys today proved it's not impossible," Seahawks Head Coach Lance Madison said. "We played strong from start to finish. That creates a great segway to the start of the second half of our season."

The Hawks travel to Tyler Junior College this Saturday where they will face the Apaches at 4 p.m. in Wagstaff Gymnasium. TJC was 7-5 overall heading into a non-conference game on Wednesday night, holding a 1-2 NJCAA Region 14 record. The Hawks are also 1-2 in league play.

The game will be livestreamed starting at 3:45 p.m.
