Seahawks struggle in 8-0 loss to Trinity Valley CC

Trinity Valley Community College run-ruled Lamar State College Port Arthur 8-0 in six innings, allowing just four hits for the Seahawks.

The Hawks struggled in every facet of the game, allowing eight runs on 10 hits, collecting four hits of their own while committing five fielding errors in the loss.

Makasha Brown, Olivia Rivera, Brooke Smith and Elicia Gonzales each had a hit, though none for extra bases. All but Brown was caught stealing.

Freshman Kassandra Vargas started in the circle, allowing seven runs, though just one earned, on eight hits with two strikeouts and one walk to take the loss. Jessica Saenz worked one inning, allowing one earned run on two hits.
